Reds await new Hull date

Manchester United's next reunion with Steve Bruce will be rescheduled after the former Reds skipper guided his Hull City team into the FA Cup semi-finals.

The Hull game at Old Trafford in the Barclays Premier League was originally set for Saturday 12 April but Bruce will now take the Tigers to Wembley that weekend instead and take on another of his old clubs Sheffield United. The victors will meet either Arsenal or the holders Wigan Athletic in the cup final.

Bruce, who won the competition as a United player in 1990, 1994 and 1996, said after Sunday's 3-0 win over Sunderland in the quarter-finals: "I've said all along that it's sad that the FA Cup has lost a bit of the magic for whatever reason, but when you reach this stage it becomes exciting."

ManUtd.com will announce the new date for the home match against Hull City as soon as it has been confirmed.

Two of United's other league matches in April remain subject to change. The away game at Everton on Sunday 20 April at 16:10 BST and the home clash with Norwich on the following Saturday at 17:30 BST could be moved if English clubs reach the Champions League quarter-finals. The away game against Newcastle United is not affected and will kick off at 15:00 BST on Saturday 5 April.
